Halcyon Float & Wellness is a three-room boutique studio in Portland's Northwest District — one float pod, one cedar infrared sauna, one cryotherapy chamber, and a booking system that never makes you pick up the phone.
Our story
Founded by Dana Whitfield, who wanted a studio she'd actually book
Dana spent a decade managing recovery programs for endurance athletes before opening Halcyon. The pattern she kept seeing: people knew floating, heat, and cold worked for them — and still skipped sessions, because booking meant phone calls, voicemails, and wellness centers that felt like busy gyms.
Halcyon was designed backwards from that problem. Three treatment rooms instead of ten, so the studio never feels crowded. A live calendar on the homepage, so the gap between "I need an hour of quiet" and a confirmed slot is about sixty seconds. And a single, unhurried standard for everything else: if it wouldn't feel calm at 7:00 PM on a Tuesday, it doesn't belong in the building.
Since opening on Stillwater Lane, the studio has kept the same three services at the same posted prices — Float Therapy (60 min, $75), Infrared Sauna (45 min, $55), and Cryotherapy (3 min, $40) — with every session bookable in real time, seven days a week.

Four rules the whole studio runs on
One guest per room
The pod, the sauna cabin, and the cryo chamber each live in their own private room. You will never share a space, a shower, or a hallway conversation mid-session.
Real availability, no phone tag
The calendar on our homepage is the actual studio calendar. If a slot glows, it is open right now — book it in under a minute, no calls, no callbacks.
Quiet as a policy
No music in the hallways, no ringing front-desk phone, dimmed lighting after every turnover. The whole studio is engineered to be the calmest hour of your week.
Honest pricing
A float is $75, the sauna is $55, cryo is $40 — the same numbers on the wall, the website, and your receipt. Packages save you money; nothing is upsold in the room.
